Maureen Bowman
Instructional Designer, CSUMB and NPS
I have worked with and for Maureen for the last 6 years as a student assistant, an independent consultant, and as an Instructional Technologist in her department at the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS).
I originally started working for Maureen in January of 2000 as a student assistant for the Distributed Course Development Group under the Academic Technology and Media Services department at California State University Monterey Bay (CSUMB), directly reporting to her. I worked for Maureen and her group about a year, leaving to start a job as an Instructional Technologist at an eLearning start-up, Kinection. One of Kinection’s primary clients was the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS), where Maureen had moved, and I had the pleasure of working on many projects for Maureen and her department at NPS while at Kinection. In August of 2002, I had a very amicable parting with Kinection and started working for Maureen at NPS.
Maureen has seen me grow from a Flash developer, 3D modeler/animator, and Blackboard server administrator to a well rounded Instructional Designer and Technologist. She was the former Lead Instructional Designer and Coordinator of the Distributed Learning Resource Center under the Office of Continuous Learning at NPS. Maureen now works with us on a daily basis at a distance as an online instructor.
Ann Igoe, PhD
Lead Instructional Designer and Coordinator of the DLRC at NPS
Dr. Igoe is the Lead Instructional Designer and Coordinator of the Distributed Learning Resource Center under the Office of Continuous Learning at Naval Postgraduate School (NPS). During her tenure I have spent six months as an Instructional Designer. I have more recently been assigned to a special project focused on streamlining and establishing processes and workflows at NPS for course, learning, and content management systems.
